Physical security is emphasized very strongly within both data centre facilities.
Elevator access to the floor is restricted by card access to authorized Quiettouch
staff and approved customer representatives only.
Visitors are met at the lobby and accompanied to the floor.
All premises access points on the floor are protected by an independent card access
security system, programmed and monitored by Quiettouch NOC staff.
The floor is divided into security zones as defined by the functional requirements of
the staff using these areas. Card access to the various zones is restricted to
only those staff whose function requires access to a given area.
The NOC and the active floor area of the data centre are further protected by
a biometric access control, which operates as a secondary level of protection.
Customer privacy is managed as a natural extension of data centre security.
Cabinets and equipment are labeled generically, with no customer-specific notations
visible in shared customer areas. Customer names are not identified in
communications such as trouble tickets or network advisory notices.
Disclosure of any customer-specific information to Quiettouch suppliers
or other customers is made only if explicit prior permission has been granted by the customer.
